Welcome to Day 4 of our 6-day long holiday of Hallowalimuertos! It’s going by so fast. Halloween and Día de los Muertos are over, although the veil is still thin and you might still be getting messages from the other dimension. But it is Day 3 of Diwali, which is usually the most festive day of that holiday. My son in India sent me a video of last night’s celebrations in his town, which included lots of fireworks.
So I got to thinking, what is a holiday without a song? It’s fun to gather with others and sing songs about the occasion, right? So I wrote this as our first Hallowalimuertos song. I’m a wordsmith, not a musician, so I didn’t write any music to go with it. But see if you can think of a familiar tune to match these words to:
Hallowalimuertos
Have a HalloWaliMuertos
It’s the best week of the year
I don’t know how the election will go
But I am full of cheer.
Have a HalloWaliMuertos
And when you walk down the street
Share your glow with friends you know
And everyone you meet
Ho, ho, the altar grows
As each one adds their light
Only think of what we want
Know things will be all right
It’s a HalloWaliMuertos,
So abandon all your fear
Please stay Fuertos with HalloWaliMuertos
Divine Light is heeerrrrrreeeee….
(HalloWali…HalloWali..HalloWali…
HALLOWALIMUERTOS, EVERYONE!)

I love it!Can you fit it to the song “have a holly jolly Christmas” sung by Burl Ives, I think? That’s wh
