Well, the results of the November 4 elections were a real shot in the arm for those of us who disapprove of President Trump’s policies and agenda. In addition to the big races that made the headlines, it was remarkable how many Democrats were elected in local or state races in almost every state–red, blue, or purple.

Politics are fluid, and we still have much to work to do to promote our reclaiming democracy stance before first the 2026, then the 2028 elections. But we should still celebrate good news when we get it.

I know my tendency is to use songs from my past; I am more familiar with the “oldies but goodies.” However, in honor of Zohran Mamdani’s election as mayor of New York City, I’ve got something more contemporary this week. In fact, it was only released on October 31, 2025! Enjoy!
