Motivational Music Monday: Love Forward Together Edition

This weekend I went to the Mass People’s Assembly organized by Repairers of the Breach and led by Rev. William Barber. The theme of the event, which was held on Valentine’s Day, was “Love Forward Together.” It was a fantastic gathering that I will be talking about in another post. So it is the source of today’s Motivational Music Monday.

This is different than most of the songs I post because it is a recording by WRAL from the event itself. At almost 11 minutes long, it’s lengthier than my usual music videos. The first 3:40 minutes is Rev. Barber preaching and explaining the meaning of the words of the song. Some musicians begin playing at that point and it is instrumental only until the choir starts singing the song at about the 7:00 minute mark. So if you only want to hear the song being sung, you can forward to 7:00 and it runs for 3:41 minutes.

But I recommend listening to the whole thing, at least the first time. To me, each part is beautiful and meaningful in itself.

I hope you find it inspirational. I certainly did, and plan to come back and listen again anytime I need a boost.
