This weekend I went to a wonderful and much needed spiritual retreat. My life is good, really good. But between my teaching and support of my spiritual center and my support of my family and my political activism in support of my country and my democracy, I was worn out. I needed a recharge. So this was perfect for me.

The retreat was Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon at the GORGEOUS and SPIRITUAL St. Francis Springs Retreat Center (https://www.stfrancis.today) in Stoneville, NC (outside Greensboro, NC). It was just what I needed. Being raised around Washington DC, I kind of have politics in my blood. But I chose not to look at any political information while I was there.

Today I’m catching up. And I see while we were meditating and talking about oneness and peace and making the world a place that works for all, President Trump announced that he wanted to rename the Department of Defense into the Department of War.

Really?

I may write more about my experience, but today I’m focused on music. Our Spiritual Center leader played this song at some point during the retreat So I’m sharing it for today’s Motivational Music. It is by a wonderful blues musician, Keb’ Mo.
