The Walk for Peace Venerable Monks have completed their journey, having arrived in Washington DC with thousands of people gathering to see them. After weeks of walking through snow and frigid temperatures, they arrived in our national capital in a relatively balmy 45 degrees (although wind gusts of up to 25 mph is apparently making it feel more like 32 degrees). What a wonderful accomplishment for them, and what peace and joy they have brought to so many thousands of us.
The picture above is when I got to see them in person last month (see https://blissfullu.com/2026/01/24/the-walk-for-peace-came-to-the-triangle-area-of-nc-and-i-was-there/ for the details). If you haven’t had the chance to experience them in person–or even if you did–you have one last chance to get to hear them before the end of this pilgrimage.
This afternoon from 4:30-7:30 PM, the Venerable Monks are broadcasting an online meditation from George Washington University (which is where I earned my Masters degree in Education!). I’m not sure exactly what they are doing, but I do know I will be tuning in. If at all possible, I recommend that you do as well.

Let’s have one last HURRAY for the Walk for Peace and see if we can shift the consciousness of our nation with a massive online meditation! And if you do, please share your experience in the comments below.
PS–For those of you who are subscribers, for some reason my Motivational Music Monday email on Monday said the music videos were unavailable…except they aren’t. I don’t know how or why that happened, so I don’t know how to fix it. However, if you got to my post online, you can access the videos. Visit https://blissfullu.com/2026/02/09/motivational-music-monday-venerable-monks-edition/ for two really inspirational music videos about the Walk for Peace.
