I missed posting yesterday because I’ve been busy. My spiritual center has moved, and I’ve been over there yesterday and today unpacking and trying to get our Sunday School operations organized to be ready to teach our students by Sunday. So here is the laser update: Yesterday for lunch, I took the focaccia, split it … More Catch Up Friday, SNAP Challenge Edition
Not a lot of exciting new food for you in this post. Even after eating mostly leftovers yesterday, we still had a lot of leftovers! The last time I did the SNAP Challenge, I did have leftovers at the end of the week, which we ate the following week. But this time, we are going … More Rethinking Wednesday, SNAP Challenge Edition
As I wrote one of my posts during my first SNAP Challenge week, food waste is a big ecological problem. As much as I try to keep our eating green, I must confess to that bad behavior. I was not happy with the state of our union. I have been disturbed by how our current President is disrupting the lives and the traditions of the … More My Lessons of July 4, 2019
I’m still reflecting on my experience with the SNAP Challenge. I do know that I’m really glad I did it. Here are some of the things I realized. Feeding people is one of my love languages. Are you familiar with the book The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to … More Lessons Learned from the SNAP Challenge
The Town of Cary runs a Gallery Walk on the Final Friday of every month where galleries and town offices and businesses that display art (such as several restaurants and a local winery) stay open late to allow people to drop by and see the latest exhibitions. Since my son is an artist, we have … More Final Friday, SNAP Challenge Edition
